...edit better yet, what wiring did you change if any?

 

Blown fuses? Does your fuel pump prime? Do you have 3 solid engine grounds? If not, connect grounds and try again. If that does not work, check power to the main efi relay below the glove box.

 

i have the czr at my performence shop they have everything wired up everything is ground. they have installed the sub harness and immoblizer bypass. but when they go to start the car nothin happens. They told me that the ecu is getting no power to it. I have done lots of research on this but cant find anything or anyone with the same problem. also my 02 civic ex was auto and i converted it to a k20 manual. is there anything if anything i need to do different.

 

you need the clutch pedal switch. i'll give you more details on how to wire this up when i get home with pictures. its basically when you have to press the clutch in to start the car on a stock MT.


edit: just saw that tuner pointed you in the right direction. you dont need the full dash harness. but i suggest getting the MT ECU subharness.

I read somethibg similiar earlier on but I forgot where...make sure no fuse is blown...the guy used a volt meter nd realized that he wasnt getting any power from one of the wires,or whatever he check I forgot...did it make any noise at all ...maybe not gettibg enough fuel

well i did the k20 type-s swap. i ve been looking an dlooking tryin to help out the shop lol. its done juss wont fire and im goin crazy cuz i want to drive this bad boy lol

did they put in another rsx ecu to confirm the ecu is working?

 

Dumb question, did they ground out the wires under the dash? Theres 2 wires you have to ground out off the fuse box in order to get the car to start when converting from auto to manual. That's assuming you kept the auto dash harness.

 

well car will still give ecu power, those 2 wires are for it to turn over.

 

they order a sub harness for the dash. and they did ground those to wires. they gonna check using another ecu today.

 

sub harness they ran the extra wires to battery and key on?

 

ok juss tlked to my dude at the shop. the fuel pump is not priming from wht he can hear it not. He did tell me the key did get stuck but no it come out. the car knos its in park.

 

if im going from auto to manual do i need to use the manual dash harness or can i use the auto harness? main relay has been check its ok. but still no power to the ecu at all. they think it could be something in the wiring.

 

you need to ground out 2 wires and also disable immobolizer in k pro.

so im guessing they didnt ground those wires they said they did or did the wrong ones

 

Or it's quite possible they didn't disable the immobilizer in kpro.. It's easy to do.. Check the ECU fuse in the engine bay fusebox. I fought with mine one for about a week. I could've sworn I had checked that fuse.. Well... a walbro later and checking relays.. the fuse was blown.

 

They did installed the immoblizer bypass on my car

 

They did ground the two wires. They installed the sub harness to plug up to the ecu.
If u can u still show me them pics might help. But i know for sure that they did tht.

Key lock and clutch switch are two different wires.

 

yea but he said they did both wires. key and clutch were the 2 i was talking about.

 

You are running kpro right? Or are you trying to run a rsx stock ecu?

Theres ur problem man kpro would have saved u a ton of trouble....another thing maybe that engine harness is not good....a guy on k20 bought an engine harness but the seller gave him the auto base harness instead

 

wouldnt ecu still get power. because harness from dash plugs into ecu. i would also want to know what conversion harness did he get

 

Ahh thats true, it would get power but still wouldnt start

 

thats why im thinking its either the ecu is fried, problem with wiring they did on harness or immobilizer, or the key/clutch grounding.
