So, my days of driving a dumped car every day are over. However, I just can't drive at stock height. The 7th gen coupe I just purchased will be my daily driver for my 120 mile commute.

I'm interested in a mild drop (1 finger gap maybe?) but MOST interested in retaining the comfortable ride.

I don't know the spring rates of Eibach Sportlines but they are said to drop about 1.4" and claim to have 'excellent ride quality'. The Tein S-techs claim to drop 1.6" and have rates 127front and 291rear.

I plan to run Tokico Blues or the new Koni Streets.

What has your experience been? What would you recommend? Thanks!

when i had my s-techs with tokico blues on my car, they ran very smooth. Even though it wasn't dropped much "only 1.3 front and 1.4 rear" it was great to avoid speed bumps/steep driveways etc.etc. Although i wouldn't run the s-techs with tire size smaller than 195/55/15.. anything above that or stock tire sizes look great and ride very comfy and handles alright. I made the mistake of getting 195/50/15 rims/tires with the combo but it didn't do me wrong other than 2.5-3 finger gaps all around lol. thick tires ftw.

Eibach is the closest to OEM quality ride quality between the two. I have personally drive both on this chassis. The Tein settles more like a 2" drop and is medicore on ride quality. I expected more from Tein on this app.

If you are not tracking the car, no need to get Konis. The Konis for this app are mere inserts and you must cut open the stock shock assembly and put in the Koni guts to make them work. If you're looking for a bit more aggressive shock than stock, Tokico blue is great.

Hit me up should you need a package or something.

thanks for the info, gentlemen.

I'm going to go with the sportlines because ride quality is most important. Looks like Tokico blues are the winner for struts as well. I plan to run 195/60s on my LS mesh wheels. They currently have 195/55s on them now but they aren't in very good shape.

Dezod, what am i looking at for said combo through you?

well its been like 3 days now, and the sportline springs handle like a dream, the ride is smooth no bumps unless you go over some small bump in the road it will give you a little jig in the wheel, but thats usual, I really enjoy the new springs! thats my thought on it!

what size tires are you using? also, did you give the suspension some time to settle before taking those pics? your car seems a bit high for sportline springs. i have tein h-techs and i have the same gaps...

can you do me a favor and measure the distance from the ground to the top of the wheel arch? do this for all 4 corners.

your car looks good man! I'd like to see a side shot with better lighting if possible. :) They're not settled yet after 3 days, obviously, unless you bought them second-hand. Either way, They're officially on my 'things to buy' list. :) They'll be on soon!

I love my S-Techs. Rides nicely even on stock shocks. Looking on going a little lower. So I might just go all out and get some SSPs. The only thing is I noticed a little rear sag after driving on them for 3 years now with the S-Techs. The sag is worse when I have my subs in and a full tank of gas.:werd:

No modding needed, just the common know-how and tools like switching out any other lowering springs. Just make sure that they are seated and indexed correctly to prevent popping or any other strange noises. I've read yes and no on stock shocks. From my personal experience they've been riding the same since the day I put them on 3 years ago. As mentioned before, there is some rear sag with the S-Techs on my coupe. The sag is noticable more when I have my 2 12's in the trunk and also when the gas tank is full. Maybe about .5" sag at most...

I would recommend these spring to anyone looking for a mild drop and not really going for the slammed or dumped look. They ride and handle well even with my 100 mile daily commute. I roll with a full front and rear camber kit and get my car aligned once a year just to make sure everything is all good and gravy :hs:

Some people are saying the drop isnt enough while some say its good. I guess it almost looks like the drop comes over time, Im thinking about buying the s techs soon, been lookin up reviews and they seem decent, Ill be using stock steelies and stock struts for the time being, I dont want the drop to be insane due to my 100 mile commute everyday/semi bumpy roads here and there and steepish driveway.

Im guessing the s techs are my best bet for that?
