Ok, Here's what happened the past few days...
I recently lowered my car with the Ground Control adjustable slip ons....Everyone has their opinions about the slip ons but I have no problems with them right now, But that is the least of my worries...When me and Chris (cburg05civic) lowered it last thursday, We put it on some fourteen inch steel rims until I could get it aligned because I didn't want to kill my Yoko's...Well I got it aligned yesterday and when I brought it home the first thing I did was washed it...After that, I hurried to get my good rims because I was so excited to see how it looked...I pulled into the garage and proceeded to put the front rims on...Everything went well and I got the rims on in no time.We lowered the jack slowly and realized there may be a clearance issue, When the wheel is turned there is a little less than a quarter of an inch between the fender and the tire....No big deal, I'd just have to take it slow while turning to make sure I don't kill the fender.I then pulled out and started on the rear, They were just as easy to get on as the front but as I was putting the car down, A problem occured...When the car was fully off the jack the rear tires where so far into the wheel well that the quarter panel was sitting on the sidewall of the tire.I kinda' figured this would happen so I wasn't that surprised.I called up my friend to see if he could help me "roll" the quarter. When he came over we proceeded to roll the quarter but hit a snag...We cracked the paint off the edge of the quarter which at the time, Was a HUGE deal to me because I'm very picky when it comes to stuff like that...Long story short...The passenger side of the car still rubs if I hit a Hard enough bump or if I'm going at a fairly decent speed and hit a small bump.My question is - Instead of continuely rolling the quarter would it be best to take a grinder to the edge of the inner lip and take about a quarter of an inch to a half inch off and just spray it flat black in there to keep it from rusting and throw some clear RTV in there to keep it sealed?
Due to this little incident, The car is now in it's "Under Construction" stage...I'll keep you guys posted of the process and the progress as the time comes...Just let me know what you think about grinding that small amount of the quarter panel off to get the clearance issue fixed...

Thanks Alot Guys,
Wes

well how about raise the car up until it dosnt rub............no?

and why would you have some dude roll your fenders. have a pro do it. this way if something goes wrong it is covered and its not your problem. i have a 91 and its about to be painted and i wouldnt roll my fenders. i just raised my coilovers up until it didnt rub. i dont know why you would choose the hard way first.

Now there's the problem...The rear sleeve is not as long as the front sleeve...The rear sleeve has 1 thread to go before it is the whole way up...Trust me...If lifting it up would have fixed the problem, I would have did that in the first place...I'm not stupid bro.It has a rake to it and thats how I wanted it...The front sits lower than the rear..

Not sure how you got a "tude" from that but whatever...I'm by far not like I was last night...I mellowed out since...No hard feelings and you had good advice...Thanks for the input bro.

yea, gc's arent really coilovers, they are coilover sleeves, and dont offer much adjustment, you could get spring spacers tho, just to raise it a smidge

i didn't read the whole post, but it seems like you're having clearance issues with the qtr panels...?

here's .02...

the tire/wheel combo looks pretty big and it doesn't look like you have any negative camber... to possibly clear the quarter panel you should probably allow 1 or more degree of negative camber in the rear. if you want to go low you have to sacrafice the tires...

Chris (cburg05civic) has -8 degree camber in the rear...He said maybe I could go with -6?...I don't feel like spending more money in alignment and wear my tires out so is the grinding a good idea or no?The quarter on the driver side is already rolled good enough I believe, It's just the passenger side because after we cracked the paint on the driver side we used my other seventeen inch rims with smaller tires and a smaller pipe and it didn't work out as well...

i hardly doubt he is running -8 degrees man, that would be / \ or worse. i run just a tiny bit since my wheel are a litte more aggressive and the tire is wider, but not even a full degree at all. try taking a cut wheel and cutting the fender, make sure u have it painted again so it doesn't rust.

Oh no doubt...It's sitting in the garage right now because it's fuckin' raining...I guess I'm just going to either take a cut off wheel or a die grinder to inner edge....

cant you just bend that lip up flat against the inside of the fender? cutting it off would make me nervous of making a wierd looking edge and it could take away from the structure of the fender and make it really easy to push and dent in... also if you screw up cutting that wouldnt be cheap to replace

It definitly won't be cheap if I fuck up but that's why I took three years of Automotive and Collision Repair and also...I'm NOCTI certified for a reason...
