Okay so I garage the car in the winter and I'm guessing the last time I took the car out I ran over something that caused splatters all over my passenger side (lower half). Anyway, I went to wash my car for the first time today and noticed something that looked like rust. I freaked out thinking my car started rusting but then when I took my finger to see it peeled off with some pressure so I was relieved. However, when I wet the area and scrub very hard it does NOTHING. I have to peel/scrape it off and it would take way to much time and care to do that realistically, and taking a chance on ruining the paint.

I have NO IDEA what this stuff is....maybe road tar? but its not black, its rust color....

anyone have any ideas on how to get this shit off? :dunno: :wtc:

P.S.- Tried a clay bar and it didnt do shit

well if its road tar i had a similar problem and WD40 worked to take it off. You could also use paint thinner, but i dont suggest that. My uncle owns a detail shop and thats what he uses to get road debris off but im not comfortable doing it myself.
