I am thinking about ordering some new headlights, but i have heard bad things about the seals on aftermarket ones. Ill most likely get them from ebay if there isn't a site that sells the blacked-out style in the OEM design. I know there use to be a site called freestylemotorsports.com, and they had the OEM style in 3 different colors(cleared, blacked out and a dark silver), but i think they went out of business or something because i am unable to access a site for them now. My headlights on the car now are the originals blacked out by myself. But they are starting to fog up with moisture, the lens are scratched, and there is some minor heat damage from the oven part of the black-out process. So i would like to just get a complete new pair. Anyone know of sites that sell them? And what would you recommend i do to make sure they are sealed tightly. I used 100% silicon, but some people talk about using RTV silicon. Not sure if there is a difference really, and if there is which one is better? And don't get me wrong, i usually wouldn't step away from quality OEM products, but i don't want to spend 300$ + on a new pair from the manufacture, only to tear them apart and risk ruining those as well. I figure if worse comes to worse on the aftermarket headlights, ill try to refurbish the OEM ones i have now. Thanks everyone.
