because ur new mount are both new and stiffer then the old worn out mounts, they are reducing the amount of play the engine has. The vibrations ur feeling with the new mounts is actually the amount ur engine would be moving if u still had ur old mounts installed. Because the engine is still trying to move/wiggle around in the bay, that energy is absorbed through ur new mounts and transferred into the cabin, where you are feeling them....
