It is time for the next EBC Brakes Pad Giveaway! One set of pads (front or rear) will be gifted to one randomly selected forum member from our entire range, just by participating in the below thread!

In past giveaways we have discussed our first ride, garage and storage spaces, famous people we have met or would like to have met and weird and wonderful vehicles amongst other topics.

With respect to electric vehicles, the sound and mechanics of an internal combustion engine is a masterpiece, and as pressures increase from governments for the end of the ICE, this month we would like to pose the question; Hypothetically the law states you can keep only one ICE car for the future, what car do you want to hold onto forever, and why?
Would you choose something economic like a Mustang 2.3L EcoBoost twin turbo, or go for power with the 5.2L V10 Lamborghini Huracan or a 6.2L Hemi SRT Hellcat Supercharged V8? Maybe you want the usability of a Ford F-150, or the classic finesse of a 1980 Corvette Stingray?

The lucky winner will be randomly selected and announced within a few days after the closing date of 1st December 2022 and details will be posted on this forum shortly after.

Please be aware that this thread may appear in more than one section on the forum and one winner will be selected from the whole forum, not a winner per thread.
Pad choice will be based on availability and where a chosen pad is unavailable, an alternative will be offered.

If you are not the lucky winner, EBC Brakes are pleased to be able to offer a 10% discount off their braking products to all members of the forum community using code FORUM10USER
This discount code can be redeemed at EBC Brakes Direct | EBC Brake Pads | EBC Brake Discs or with our USA partners at Perfect Brakes | EBC Brake Pads | EBC Rotors

Any questions or application issues please let us know.

GOOD LUCK………

tl;dr A manual civic.
This one's a little touchy for me. As an old ET(that's Sparky to you guys :p), I have major issues with the grid trying to support current legislative trends toward battery powered vehicles, as well as the economic and environmental impact of such.
With that little rant out of the way, I have a kid living over 1000 miles away so I would go with something I could over the road with, but with fuel becoming an issue, plus the likely hood of not being able to afford to buy a McLaren ever, I'd probably go with a 5spd civic or in the case of fuel issues(end times scenario) an old diesel rabbit or golf. A 5 ton multifueler with 1/4inch steel plating also comes to mind on this. You can feed them pretty much anything that will burn.Bring back the half track! :p
I've actually been trying to find "the one to die with" for a while now, and have decided it will likely be a manual hatch. I'd love to have an EPx hatch. Hard to beat a hot hatch for its versatility and still be sporty enough to hold track records.

hot hatches have always been a best-of-everything kind of car in my eyes, in a manual trans they're fun as anything too!

I've only had one car, the 7thgen I've basically had my entire adult life.

I've never owned or really wanted a muscle car. Too many problems and bad gas mileage. But if I had to get one or they'd be gone forever, I'd pick like a Charger or something.

There's one car I've always wanted. So I'll just say that. It's the Bumble Bee yellow Camaro in the original Transformers movie.

Most people have trucks for work IMO. So they can deal with not having gas, and it may actually be better for them cuz it will save gas in a commuter car. 93% of civic owners just want a commuter car. I could easily deal with an electric civic and throw cosmetic stuff on it. Never wanted to tune the engine or anything.

But the muscle cars I could definitely see people wanting to grandfather.
