Driver side floor soaked when it rains....

Hi Everyone,

Before anything else, I'd like to say, I've done some searching and found no definite answer to my problem. So here it is

My car (2005 LX-G in Canada), when it rains, or snows, moving or parked, the driver side floor gets soaked. Only in the driver side tho. I've looked for possible holes that water could be coming from, heres what i've found

1 - Sunroof tubes was a possibility, but was not the problem as I've taped around the sunroof and floor still soaks.

2 - There was a small hole in firewall where fog lights/remote starter wires goes into the car, sealed it, floor still soaks

3- Duct taped all around the windshield - floor soaks

Would anyone have any idea? I really am getting frustrated with the car to the point where I wanna trade it in, but i love my car and cant do any more monthly payments right now.

Also, I dont know if its related, but I notice when I turn my fan on, when I have it on blowing on the feet area, I feel that the vent is blocked? is that possibly related to the water leaking in?

Also, the water only gets in to the car when the car is raised to normal height for the winter but when it rains in the summer and the car is lowered, the carpets stay dry...

PLEASE, any help would be appreciated..

I had a similar issue and it turned out to be a rubber grommet that swelled and popped out of its hole. It was the grommet where the hood release cable comes through.
Did you have to replace the grommet? and was it easy to replace it?
No i just stuffed it back in the hole and put sealer all around it. You have to take the plastic panel by the footrest off in order to get to it.
I'm having this problem right now. Even when it's not raining (and it hasnt rained here for like 5 days) my driver side floor is soaking wet. The plug (F) is still on and I don't know where the water is coming from and it's never dry. Anyone have any ideas on where to check?
got a sunroof?
How about the heater core? That's the only thing I can think of, but it never rains in southern California...
Yes i do have a sunroof. Its a 4 door ex. What and where do i check?
open sunroof
look down into the front of the sunroof well for dirt. there should be a pencil sized opening for water to travel down, if its plugged it will travel down the headliner, into the a pillar cover and onto your floor. i would check for dirt, if its plugged with dirt clean the dirt and you should be good
Check the seal on the drivers door. Mine rusted a bit under the rubber seal so it wouldn't seal correctly.
Is the heater core on the drivers side in our cars? Ive never really looked

How do you clean those drain tubes out exactly ??

There a 4 total correct ??
they are about 3-4mm across, i use a coat hanger honestly. and yes, one on each corner
Sort of on-topic with this discussion. Does anybody have leaks in their trunk. Mine seems to leak water when I wash the car and I'm wondering maybe because I did the 04 bumper conversion?
My old 7thgen used leak in the trunk but only if you sprayed water directly at the trunk seam. It was a salvage so...
Welp guys im having the same problem. Papaw said it cld be the windshield leaking but idk. I just tore all the carpet out of my car
