I got a good feeling that no matter which one you go with its gonna be a d17a. What are you talking about?Which one will you go for?
Yeah I was wondering if I should get another D17a2 or D17a. Parents didn't maintain my usual maintenance on it and I drove it and it was overheating and then my piston rods broke, so my motor is knocking. Can't really find a D17a2 also, so I was wondering if there's any good deals on D17a2, but if not I am probably just going to go with a D17a. Just recently moved back to the Mid-West.I think he is wanting to know if he should get a JDM (D17a) or USDM (D17A2).
No the D17a1 is non-vtec.DOES THE 17DA1 HAVE VTEC LIKE THE D17A2? IS THAT THE ONLY DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE TWO, JAPAN & NORTH AMERICAN
Because I know that these motors you can't really do nothing to them and bolt-ons doesn't really make a difference on it, but it's good on gas mileages.The D17A (JDM) and D17A2 (USDM) both have VTEC.

It runs really good, but like I said there's nothing you can do to make it fast unless you Turbo it or go K-series.
