See subject. I'm going to try it.

Why Foos?

1. Because I can get a set of YCP Vitaras with rings for less than a set of Wiseco rings.

2. We've all talked about it, no one has done it. So it's time to do it.

3. My rotating assembly is out anyway.

I'm going to get the block bored to 75.5mm next week and run the like-sized Vitaras. Stay tuned....

Geez man. I absolutely love how you go from F it, I'm parting the sumbitch out to researching how to kill vtec and run all rollers and now working on using vitaras and a bigger bore. Definitely in to follow this one too.

Yeah, Carl Moritz (sql_civic) is running a D16 stroker as well.

Quick check of the compression I will end up with on the Vitaras puts me at 9.1:1 compression on the D17 crank, which is well within where I want to be. This will help keep low-end torque and out-of-boost power.

The compression height on the Wisecos are 27mm and the compression height of the Vitaras are 28mm. Dish on the Wisecos is -14 and the Vits are -15.

As long as they don't come out of the deck, I should be fine. Once I get them installed, depending on how they look, I may have to clay them to see if everything is safe.

Wrist pins are 19mm which is the same size as my Crowers. Compression height is 1mm higher than the Wisecos and they (Wisecos) already sit below the deck a little.

should be good to go then. sounds great mang, i am def in for progress. and will see this being used as the new alt than buying wisecos, granted if the machining can get done at a decent price.

Yeah, my machine shop will bore and hone for $65.

i was thinking about doing the same setup as my d16, ycp vitaras and eagle rods. but i wasnt sure and didnt ask. but if it work then ill try it eventualy. our stock bore is 75mm right? do they make vitars 75mm?
Yep, stock bore is 75mm and Vits come in that size. I'm pretty sure you can't use D16 rods though.
