So this is the 2nd time 3m tape has failed me when i'm trying to put on my tsunami roof spoiler.
i've done the necessary prep work [clean car, rubbing alchohol] and it sticks really good for the first week but after that, it's downhill. any suggestions?
gorilla glue will stick to anything, just needs enough time to settle properly... but then if you ever want to take it off you're going to have all kinds of nasty shit on the surface you put it on and you have to sand it off to get rid of it...
yeah thats why i havnt stuck mine on yet. im looking for something that is harder to take off than 3M. and most importantly wouldn't want it to fly off on highway either....

As for prep work, I did exactly the same thing. But I also used a blowdriver to heat up the 3M tape to get it all sticky before applying it to the rear window. Since then, I haven't had any problems (knock on wood).
under my roof spoiler, its not completely flat. it has an edge to it. Does your tsunami roof spoiler have the same? how much 3M tape did u put on? like did u put the whole inch thick 3m on all the edges? sighh i need to find a good solution before i try putting it on
a teacher did this to a student out in west coviena california
and 2 ur tape problem just use some heat with that 3m and it work alot better then u think. i hated 3m tape cause i never got it to work right but when i was told to heat that shit up. yea it works
I've only swapped my tape twice with the roof spoiler and i swapped it the first time because i had to take it off to get painted.
I think all i used was some glass cleaner... cleaned the glass, cleaned the roof spoiler. Stuck the tape ALL around the edges of the spoiler and stuck it on. Let it sit out in the heat for awhile and you should be good to go.
Did you apply pressure for like 5 minutes? The instructions say to. Other than that, you might try window weld, that crap dries super hard and won't ever come off, but it does take a while to cure completely.
