Nothing new with this. Still cutting apart the civic and trying to get rid of the left over parts. This has been running just fine. It's nice getting compliments just driving it around.

Found out I had a headgasket leak, decided to replace all the other upper seals/gaskets while I was at it. Only picture I have from last weekends work.

Picking up another 302 as an interim build until I can get ahold of a 351w. If I can get ahold of a bare 351 block with main caps for around $200 I'll pick it up and scrap the interim build all together. This build will be a long one.

Awesome build man. I've been looking for a fox to buy for a weekend car. People either have junk or want way too much for them. I'm just waiting for the right one at the right price to come along.

Anyway, good luck with the build.

got the car back buttoned up, runs like a champ. going to get started on installing the shift kit and changing out the trans filter and it will be back on the road.

Also found a local 351w out of a 1991 Ford F350 Rail Truck. It is pretty gummed up with old/cheap oil but I will be picking it up once someone comes and grabs this damn K20 out of my garage.

Picked up a 460 Big Block for it.

Plans for this right now is to basically do a mild build. The torque put out on this in stock form is plenty to cruise the streets on. Looking to make well over 1 per inch, maybe if I'm lucky 1.1 per inch which would make it ~520hp/600tq.

Started last weekend with tear down. Going to deburr, rethread, and pre-clean the block to get it prepped for the machine shop. Going to be going .060 over standard bore (4.420), press in new cam bearings, and hot tank.

Got a little more prep work done today. Cleaned up some of the rough casting edges, deburred the cam ports in the lifter galley, scrapped off excess paint and gasket material. Also ported a few of the oil passages to remove all 90deg into a better flowing rounded edge, and opened up the water passages from years of build up. Going to give the block a nice pressure wash pre-clean before sending it off to the machine shop.

Lol I don't smoke Paul. Those were a buddy of mines.

Good idea on the pump shaft, I'll have to check with the pump I have it looked aftermarket so it wouldn't surprise me if it has one lol.

If my calculations are correct, this is where I will be or damn close to it.

Bore: 4.420in
Stroke: 3.850in
Cyl Head: 91.30cc (D3VE-A2A)...
Piston Head: .065in (Oblong Dish)
Deck Clearance: .020in
Gasket: .038in

Compression: 10.05:1
Cubic Inches: 472.59
Displacement: 7747.38

or I could go with a 4.140 stroke and make it 508 cubes.

I can get you guys a video this weekend of it and what it sounds like now with the 302 and a B303 cam. It's got a catless x-pipe with actually 2 chamber Pypes mufflers. Sounds mean, but is still pretty slow lol.

Dude please haha that would be so sick. I dont know much about Fords but I'm a student in the Ford Asset program and my professor is teaching us about cams and everything which i find absolutely interesting and he showed us videos of lopey cams, so I'm interested in listening to yours.

The B cam is definitely a noticable lopey cam, and for a factory cam, that is impressive. When it comes down to a cam and a V8, in my opinion it's best to find one that you dont have to retard the crap out of the timing, or one that you dont have to keep at half throttle just to keep it running. I've never been a fan of the SUPER lopes that sound like they're about to die on every lope.

Nothing to update, looking around at some options lately to spend as little as possible. Came across a $300 driveshaft for $150 that I will be picking up tomorrow, and hopefully should have the block off to the machine shop soon. While it is there I'm going to start taking it down to a rolling chassis to get the body prepped.
