Since Robert posted his up and this site has been dead. Here is my attempt. This is the 1979 Ford Mustang Cobra that my wife had in high school. It has been an on going project and is getting close to starting. I still need the rest of the exhaust and went too big on the carb, so that will probably have to go. Upgraded the front brakes to 87+ Spindles and Mark calipers and master cylinder. Engine is a 98 Explorer 5.0 with a TFS Stage 1 cam and Springs. Have a mini starter and 130 amp Alt to put on. Cooling is dual speed dual fans from a contour with a Volvo relay and BMW dual temp sensor.

New upholstery:

Tubular Kmember, A-arms, eibach suspension kit:

New wheels: (TRX ones where too expensive to find rubber)

New engine:

Thanks guys. Still needs quite a bit of work. Hopefully it will actually run again one day. I need/would like to rewire the headlights with a relay. Common issue with dim lights and burnt out switch because of the way the stock wiring is.

Sister-in-law moved back in with my in-laws and so did her stuff. Most of it ended up in my father-in-laws shop. So to help him out we moved the Mustang out. I got the torque converter lined back up correctly. I got the harmonic balancer all the way on, this time, so I could reinstall the belt. Had to swap pulleys on the alternators, however. Still quite a bit of work left. Found out the transmission cross member is on wrong, cannot route gear lever. I will have to take it off and rotate it 180. Been awahile but it saw sunshine. Too bad not under its own power.

The guy did a great job on the interior, probably the best part of the car. Need to figure out how to fix the gap in the steering wheel. The girls are mine (2, 3, and 5). They got so excited when my wife suggested that they be able to ride in it while we pushed it around the side of the shop.
