Ok so im gonna be swapping my kit and ecu over to this guys car. Mine is an04-05 and his is an 01-03. On the hondata website here http://hondata.com/kpro_d17.html it says to put it in closed loop. Do i put exactly what it says there? And also will i be able to leave the tune?
where can i find kpro for our cars for less than 1175.00. tax money should be here soon and i want to buy it. all the auth dealers in my area i call give me 1175 as a price. ive heard of people picking it up for like 850... i cant find it that cheap anywhere. hook a brotha up!
For all wanting to swap a K into their em2 or other chassis. k-pro is the simplest way around the immobilizer. well, hopefully that has changed. someone on k20a.org found this and i thought it was interesting. it's a K-series immobilizer bypass. hybrid racing has ordered one of these to test...
Saw this on ephatch today. it's a plug in display for kpro. a better option than a gauge pillar i think. especially if you hide it somewhere if your going for the sleeper look.
i looked it up first and saw that it is for the ecu on the k series motors, my question is, can it be used on the d 17, i saw a thread that someone posted for easy gains for the em2, and every one suggested k-pro.

I keep hearing all this stuff about kpro, wtf is it really?
Kpro is a programmable standalone computer that has been modified by the techs at Hondata to run certain engines, allowing full control over the efi...
I talked with doug at hondata for a bit this afternoon, mainly trying to figure out if/how kpro works/will work with a non vtec d17 without triggering a cel. According to him, it will work. Basically, all you do is set your vtec parameters out of the engine's range, ie: rpm/load.
I've decided to go with the k-pro and found on it on epic motoring for $1175. Is this the average price for the kpro in the US?
because down here in Aus Hondata's rrp is equivalent to $2361US or $1589US if you supply your own ecu.
ok, i have 2 questions but didnt wana make 2 threads.
1:Will kpro form an rxs (02-04) work on the d17, and uld just have to find the cam gear??
2:Anybody that has recaros; mounting brackets come with the seats but do u have to have the sliders custom made, though wedge engineering or a place...
This is 21 psi, same boost level as before. I am now running the kpro for the d17 instead of the AEM EMS. The thing I like about kpro is you can set all kinds of limiters and backup safety settings and it gives cel's if something is messed up, its not on you to figure out what's going on...
"The K-Pro for the D17 consists of a hardware modification to a donor K-Series ECU, a specially modified cam timing wheel, plus Windows software which allows you to re-program the ECU and datalog sensors."
so...anyone wanna buy my emanage setup?
