Default Where to buy head light lens

I am looking to buy new headlight lens for my 2001 EX. I blacked-out the headlights two years ago and am sick of re polishing these headlights every three months with buffing compound and trying to make them clear. I am sick of the foggy look. Let me know guys thanks!

You can't buy just the lense, you have to buy the entire assembly. Go OEM or DEPO

It would be nice if they only sold just the front lense, instead of the whole unit. If someone just sold that, fagedadaboutit!!

quit trying so hard to sound newyorkish, that fad died already. Lens cannot be purchased seperatly. I polished mine three years ago, then coated and waxed. Fixed permanently.

You could always sand, polish and throw some 3m 3mm clear bra. This link may be it not sure but a buddy owns a shop here locally restores headlights this way. http://solutions.3m.com/wps/portal/3...otection/Film/

I would do the sanding and I would do it in multiple ways. I live in the North East (not that that should matter much) but our salt and winters are rough and summers are hot.

Greenie What did you coat the headlights with?

I used an orbital on it one time and some polishing compound and they came out really nice. Then from what I've read since you sand them it takes the UV coating off of the headlights and yellowing them upon further sun exposure. Not sure why but mine have yellowed enough times to the point where I'm out of ideas.

biggest thing i did was use an actual buffer, orbital doesnt have enough speed or create enough friction to do any good. I used 2000 grit sand paper, then a combination of 3m finesse it, then perfect it, then clear coat, then wax. been 3 years now

You are correct you cut the protective film off and no matter how much you buff they will yellow again and again. My buddy puts that film on and they are good for a while. I have seen him do a few in person they look great and last.

And when did that "fad" die? Can I have a specific date?

the uv protection was already gone thats why it yellowed in the first place. you have to re-sand them then use a plastic headlight sealent then wax on top of that re-wax every couple of weeks.
