Default Low Presure Budget Turbo Kits?

Im working on doing my first turbo but i dont have the money to pull a k20 swap or completely rebuild my engine to take insane boost pressure, Im basically doing this to learn more about my car and turbos instead of making a bitchen fast 10grand k20 honda. I was wondering if anyone knows of any kits out there that are on the cheaper side and are can push out anywhere from 4-10psi on my stock d17. I already know ill need a piggyback ECU, an engine management system, and a good tune but Im wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction for kits. I already know about the kits out there that are 2grand and up and i dont question there quality i know they are prob worth that much money but i just need a simple starter kit that can put out low pressure. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated guys thanks .

Not much left for kits. Godspeed is probably the cheapest but has been said that it is a Dezod knockoff, so not sure on quality. You could always try and piece a kit together, which everyone says is cheaper. Get ARP headstuds and a Walbro fuel pump as well. You will still need injectors and engine management. I would not waste my time with a piggyback. I ran a kit with SRT4 stage 1 injectors and AEM FIC at 5 psi and had nothing but problems. They could not get the partial throttle boost worked out and kept getting an oxygen heater CEL. Now working on a full build with Kpro. Unfortunately this generation does not seem to have the aftermarket support others had so things are limited.

save your money, and do it right the time. Cheaping out ends up with more headaches then you need to deal with. By the time you save up for the kit, youll be ready for a new car..lol

Iv heard that piecing together a turbo is a bit cheaper but you can run into a good amount of problems trying to get everything to work together properly.

I know cheaping out isnt the way to go i was just wondering if there where any kits out there that where only capable of pushing out low pressure and therefore would cost less.

Also iv seen mixed reviews on ebay kits (those ones that cost like $500) anyone have an input on those

Godspeed is pure crap China made quality that was almost an identical copy of our V3 kit years ago which lead to us discontinuing the kit.

Anyway, we came back revamped better than ever with our new Alpha Series stuff which blows away the old stuff....See the parts here:

I think i might go with a simple ebay kit. A bunch of reviews i read of first hand accounts are they are fine as long as u break them in for a bit before jumpping up the boost presure and work great at 4-12 psi so for $500 i could get a kit minus the turbo manifold (i can find one) and a turbo downpipe (once again can find one). therwise ill go with godspeeds kit for 1.4grand (no offince dezod) but im not really feeling like dishing out over 2 grand for a kit when i only want it to push out 4-10 psi. worst comes to worst ill just but a better turbine if i dont like the one that comes in either of those kits
