i searched and did not see one so i started one. this is a thread to discuss comics and comic related material. post up what you read and post pics of some cool comics you own.

i use to read comics when i was younger but mainly watched the spiderman, xmen, and batman cartoons. when i was on vacation in florida my buddy took me to the shop he goes to on occasion and i was hooked.

I fall under the category of my mom throwing away my collection. I only salvaged a shoe box of them from my childhood. Currently I'm collecting Buffy the Vampire Slayer comics. Just finished reading season 8. I used to read Marvel/DC of course but in the 90s they came out with Image and Valiant which was mind blowing at the time. There was also Dark Horse which was hard for me to get a hold of at the time.

I mean Batman was the only true DC I would read. Everything else was pretty much ghey. I'm not knocking Superman but I enjoyed Batman's dark storytelling. When it comes to Marvel man I used to read a lot of that shit because it had more action.

Image/Valiant were awesome for the artwork, uncensored words, not afraid to talk about sensitive subjects and just flat out brutality with visual murders. Dark Horse was awesome for storytelling and plots but the artwork was just on par for me.

I wasn't gonna read batman at first just because it's batman everything right now. A lot of the podcasts I've been listening to changed my mind. I'll have to check out the infinity gauntlet stuff.

I grew up with Batman stuff around me so it wasn't hard to start reading the comics. What podcasts do you listen to?

Infinity Gauntlet was a 6 issue miniseries. Basically Thanos gets the gloves, calls out the biggest shits of shits of the Marvel universe to shut him down, he pwns everyone except Adam Warlock who sits on the sideline waiting, Thanos gets bored of his powers, lets himself get defeated, burns off, Adam and I think Silver Surfer find him on a farm, Thanos explains why he gave up the Gauntlet, and they just stare at him for being so awesome it's not even funny.

This isn't even 5% of what I used to have. Hell I don't even have any of my Dark Horse issues. I don't collect anything from back then anymore. The only thing I collect now like I said is Buffy the Vampire Slayer stuff. I'm currently hunting down Issues #1-63 with both photographic and illustrated covers. I got around 120 issues so with those plus the ones I'm looking for that adds another 126 plus I'm going to get the Angel side also since the story's intertwine. So yea I got a lot coming my way pretty soon.

Yea I watch it also but the show has been going downhill so I don't have big expectations this season for it.
