Default Alternator Info

So in doing research on this alternator in our cars I found some interesting information that I want to post and see what members have to say. The alternator on our cars is not a Nippodenso alternator it is made by mitsubishi which is not really as good. The voltage regulator system is partially controlled by the regulator inside the alternator and also controlled by the PCM(computer) from what I understand. This information is courtesy of Gus at Ohio Generator. This research is being conducted because im trying to find an H.O. alternator for my car.

On a side note now that it is getting hotter outside when I play my system for a little bit my voltage meter in the car says that the car is no longer charging. According to gus the computer is telling the alternator to shut off because its overheating and in risk of damage or something like that which makes perfect sense.

Anyway 140 amps is the best gus says you can get out of these alternators with the small casing. Iraggi offers a 180 and 200 amp alternator? Which route is the best route to go?

Here are some of the articles

I was thinking about 180-200 amps, iraggi has those alternators to, but i have heard some bad stuff about him too. I know this mitsubishi alternators are hard to work with since there so small, I just want a product that will be there and i have contacted this company about getting stinger to do the alternator, but they havent contacted me back and stinger you have to go through an authorized dealer, what does everyone run on their cars.

it was just a decision that honda made. they get the job done as long as you don't do a huge system
