ricechain-

Just to clarify; positive wire of LED goes to the positive wire of the dome light (white/blue wire) and the negative wire of my led goes to the negative wire of the ground wire (black). Does that sound about right? What do I connect to the door triggers?

Or do I simply connect the positive LED wire to the 12v constant & the negative LED wire to the negative door trigger?

For the door courtesy lights, I want to to always turn on EVERY time I open the door even when my dome lights are switched off. So do I ignore the dome light wires all together and only focus on the door triggers? The door trigger wire is negative right?

Hello to you too, vtec9588! And no problem! Thank you though! =]

Your getting it! Positive is red on your led, black is negative. yes your door triggers are grounds so you could just run your positive led wire to a constant positive wire (like the red wire behind your deck) and your led ground wire to the door switches. This would be the easiest way to wire it.

AHH YAY! Thank you so much for clearing that up for me! =]

So my LED are attached to Blue (+) and Silver (-) wires. So.... Blue (LED +) wire tapped to Red (12v +) wire and Silver (LED -) wire tapped to Green/Red (Door Trigger -) wire? yeah, yeah?! ^.^

Does it matter that I have a sedan? Like there is only one kind of wire for the door triggers right? Not a wire for the Front Left door trigger, a different wire for the Front Right door trigger, etc.

The person I'm picking it up from is finishing the paperwork & whatnot so I won't physically have the car until Thursday. I promise, I shall take a few photos of her and post it under here & under "Member's Ride" and update it with each mod. =] First thing I was gonna do is polish the headlights since they're a bit cloudy. I won't start my lighting projects until spring break when I have some time off.

I'm only gone so far as to change the dome lights, trunk, and license plate lights which requires me just pulling bulbs out

I have a passion for science (chemistry) and electronics (computers/phone). It's time that I extend my horizon and get into cars electrical components. =] But thank you oh so much for you help! I'm Annie by the way, sir. I'm super stoked to get the show on the road and take my baby apart! ^.^

Tsoi: That's just about how knowledgeable I am about the electronics of a car too. Haha, but gotta start somewhere. Nothing like a little searching & reading to get the motivation to learn!

My car is the same year as yours. The 04-05 fog lights look way sexier than the earlier 7th gens. You might wanna put that down as a future project

I'm not a big fan of the yellow color of fog lights... ButI'm feeling the smoked out fog lights. Hmm... maybe I'll think about this after all. =]
