if you want the most travel, get it as close as you can without touching the axle boot.
one inch is fine. keep an eye on it.

Alright so due to my recent accident I had to put my stock struts back on my car in the front so I can send the front one to go get rebuit since it has a bent rod. I went to adjust my rear up so I won't be sitting low rider style and I can't find my spanner/c wrench to adjust them up.

So I've looked online to see what everyone has used tht has lost there tools too move it up. Some people have used the hammer and flathead method and I tried it and it started to dig into the collar. So that was a big no. And some have used oil filter tools. Which I'm gonna try and use tomorrow.

Have anyone of y'all used that trick? Or have any other ideas to move the collars up?
