check the fuel pressure.
It may be a weak pump, clogged filter, bad pump ground.

I had a similar, but more intermittent version of this issue on my Buick Roadmaster... never did figure it out, just sold the damn car

(because: the transmission was going out, the aforementioned issue, no A/C, Power steering leak, radiator fans would not stay on, sucked gas, etc. This is after investing in new: radiator, water pump, opti-spark, shocks, tires, alternator, starter, coil-pack... sorry for the rant)

Alright, i THINK i may have solved the problem.
When I did a valve adjustment, everything was way too tight. I redid it all with the smaller recommended specs and car seems be be good now.

My guess is that when the car was warmed up, the metal expands and made the clearance way too tight which caused the car not to start again...? Don't know if there is any truth to it.

Car will start now, but every now-and-then it would kinda shake for a few seconds before starting, not as bad as before though.

Also, ticking noise is still there, not sure what it could be.
