Its actually called dark teal metallic, but depending on camera filters the color changes lol and I used 16mm. 01-03 are 14mm bolts and 04-05 are 16mm bolts.

with the hyperco's on your megan's, are you not worried about blowing them? did you adjust the preload at all.

No I'm not worried, I use a rule of thumb that you can get 2kg higher/lower spring rates for coilovers before having to revalve them. Megan springs are pretty stiff for stock, I think 10kg and 12kg so I bought 11kg and 12kg hyperco's. They have been excellent so far. I have my damper set to 8 front and back so my ride is pretty stiff, but I rarely bottom out or scrap frame which is what I was after with my suspension set up.

![]() Here is the megan racing axle back, pic came from my IG so quality is not the greatest. Sounds deep and quiet. I wanted this for looks since a full exhaust is pointless for any real gains (D17 is pointless as well for modding since it was built as a gas saver) and a full cat back would not fit under my car. Next thing is the header and a mild wire tuck which I will be completing very slowly as I have never wire tucked before. Probably over the year I will be doing this, I will post pics as I go along.

Can you give me a run through of what you did to install the hyperco springs?
Once you put them on the coilover itself, what did you adjust the top two lock rings to, since those are suppose to control the preload? With the shorter spring, isnt the stroke of the strut shorter now? I have a guy who can get me a new set of d2's for $750 and i would switch the front springs out with my Ground Control srpings. My concern is with resetting of the preload or whatever i need to do to save the strut from blowing.

I don't have preload after I installed the spring. I just lowered the bottom rings until it was at the height I wanted, then locked them in place. When I jack up my car the spring uncompresses. The stroke is not as long because of the shorter springs, but I threaded the coilover down into the lower mount to increase the stoke just a bit. They haven't blown on me yet (knock on wood).
