2001 LX sedan ac issues

So over the summer the AC worked and then one day just quit. When the AC is turned on the rpms go to almost stalling to 3000. Im not sure whats wrong with it but I would love suggestions. Also since the winter hit the heater works but wont blow on the feet and feels like it never actually turns off when its off. Would like any suggestions.
