i personally wouldnt pay more than 800 for an ak. That being said there are a few exceptions, including yugo made and russian made. Key things to look for are underfolders, side folders. Stay away from century arms, they make less quality than others like atlantic imports. rommy made, like the wasr, shouldnt go more than 600....

That makes sense since my sks is a yugo and I was told they are stronger than the other makers. The ak, prior to this bs, were going for 700 or so locally.
