Default My Em2 Type R Build Thread

So for those who see my presentation I post some picture of my car but now im gonna show you the project from the start. I won't explain everything because im not the best in english but I will try to answered your question as they come to me. Firt of all last summer I was in Sedan 4 door automatic that I were about to swap k20 Manual but Unfortunately an accident occurend. So Im gona show you the first car I had before.

Then After the accident how he look like ( I try to avoid a vehicule in the other side that blind me so ... )

6k to 7k of damage so ... The insurrance give me around 7000$ and I Start a new project.

It all began with a friend who had a Civic 2001 Si that was accidented in the past and he bought it and finally sell it to me 1year after. When I bought the car, there was already converted to the frond end of the Civic 2004-2005. I just transfer my Recaro seat the next day of my accident. I have the car since this summer ( June 2012 )for those who maybe want to know.

The same month as I bought the car I transfer my old stuff that I was able to take from my Civic 2005 4door.

I buy New Skunk 2 Camber kit because on the other car One of the two was damaged

And i bought some other stuff for the project:

Megan Racing H Beam Under the car ( subframe )

DC5 Type R OEM Side Marker With Nokya Led ( very Bright)

OEM Dc5 and Ep3 Front and Rear Emblem Type R

Morimoto 35watt 3000k for the fog

Momo DC5 Type R Steering Wheel

Dc5 Type R cluster with around 156k don't remember perfectly

After that I decided to buy a cloth for covering benches train to do my door insert

to finish my 2004-2005 convertion I bought a rear bumper and central consol at a junkyard.

Im a perfectionnist so :

With all inside ( OEM 6speed knob Dc5 + Aftermarket boots type R style no picture when I buy them)

After all that job I decider to go at the painshop to put the car in white ( Nh0) Type R colour

The guy before didn't change the rad frame so I change it at the same time for one of a 2004-2005 civic with fender support and hood latch.

When the car was ready to see the sun

So Since I stored my car ( 10 november) I start the big project remove the engine to shave it all paint the engine bay wire tuck... U know :P

The axle shaft never wanted to be removed nothing has changed even by heating the bolt and even with force arm. Anyway I put Dc5 Brembo 5lug Convertion so I don't care of that...

I even change the carpet of the car for a new one with the red type R color ( aftermarket carpet )

Find this under the carpet haha funny

Proof for the rust

I bought several other stuff during this time.

Pioneer TS-A1604C Front Speakers + tweeters

Pioneer TS-6974R Rear Speaker

BlackWork Racing Rear Tow Hook

Rear Roof Spoiler with a chip on it

Work Vs-XX 5x114.3 Gold ( 3pieces and this is true one not fake )

For now It's where I am I wait for my Russel Brake line the rest of the project are in stand by until the summer.

Why do you think I remove the D17 haha to put a k20a but many think gonna be inside before. For this summer I do all the Suspension, painting the bay , shaving , tuck of the headlight , paint the bracket of headlight , install 5lugs Brembo + Spacer , long stud and the mags. It's my project for this summer the rest of the year i'm gonna buy stuff for the engine swap.

I'll show the mod list that I have now and those to come in the next month .

Thank everyone :P All the work was done by myself exceot the paintjob by a shop not so far from my home and the insert door that were done by my dad haha thank a lot :P

IN...

You better slam on those classy wheels
Interior kinda clashes with those wheels but whatever still looks great.

White red and gold look clean for me its the important anyway we look the exterior and the rim before so dont think that changed something with the interior but thank you for comment and im already slam my exhaust is about 1inch of the ground ... No places in the fenders for a fingers ... Dont seems drop on the pictures because i dont install any spacer so the tire is mostly inside ...
