I'm hoping it isnt totaled. I'd rather have it repaired than replaced.

Sorry to hear and see, always a painful thing to see any car especially a 7thgen in that state. Good luck with getting things sorted.

You are very right. But since the car isnt paid off yet, totaling out will screw me out of the money i'd get from it. I'd be left with around a grand.

Ahh man shit sucks!
It happens but on that note, if insurance gives you the money will you stay with that car or move on?
Oh you know what if insurance titles it salvage and you can buy it back(for cheap), part it out make some more money and get another car.
Get the same car and take all the parts you want from that car as backup.

Well if anything let us know how insurance work.
I don't want this to happen to me but it would be good to know how to handle with insurance once after.
Knowing what the options are.
And since your still paying for it, what will happen to the payments?

take care man, I had a rear end accident and it was traumatizing for the fact that I know the car is not 100%. But shit happens, man now it got me thinking about it again.

I am gonna try to buy it back if it comes down to it. Since it isnt paid for, the money i get from the insurance company goes towards paying the car off.

I'll keep you filled in with what the insurance company tells me.
