Got the rear discs on the car...install took a long fucking time thanks to stuck bolts, but luckily the torch was enough to get them undone. Actually bent the two piece forward trailing arm bushing on the first one, but luckily I had a spare control arm the junkyard threw in, and thus had a spare one still in it...so damn lucky on that one. Overall, the car feels SOOO much better with the disc and rear Energy Suspension bushings installed. Can't wait to do the front bushings now and get some coilovers all around

nice man. I'm going to get the entire es kit for my car as well. One problem was figuring out how to take the oem bushing out. Your method seems pretty legit and good on budget.
But I would just need the 21mm bushing for my rsx-s rear sway bar. Other than that my suspension would be at my desire. Do you mind taking progress pics of yourself taking out the front lca bushing. It would give me a great visual diy, much appreciated. Good progress! |

I also found a way to do it at home (hopefully). You'd take a hacksaw, run it through the hole, and cut two parallel grooves in the bushing about 1/4" apart, not all the way through though. Then you'd get a chisel, and hammer out the strip of metal, and you should be able to remove the bushing that way. Not sure what method I'd do. I might be picking up some LCA/spindles from a car, just so I could do it in my spare time and not lose the use of my car, plus get new bearings/balljoins at the same time so it's a one shot deal. |

yeah seen all the youtube videos, but I was considering the front lca with your method of the washer and such.
Yeah, if it comes down to it i might just have to get a spare pair of lca. Just want to diy it because I feel more assure if I did it myself. |

The reason the rear works beautifully is because there's a hole you can use to press against...You don't have that luxury on the front obviously. Only way would be if you made something like in a vise, but honestly I don't think the screw/nut/washer method wouldn't really be worth the trouble on the front. I have an angle grinder and a air powered chisel, so I'm pretty sure I could get it out at home that way.
And I feel you on the doing it yourself thing. I'd rather take the time, gain the knowledge and be able to take pride in my car mods |

Long day of working on my car...luckily the weather in Portland was beautiful, 84 degrees with a slight breeze
![]() Got the front Energy suspension bushings in the car, as well installed the new coilovers I got from TransformedBG. It was a huge bitch putting the new suspension because of the new bushings, but it didn't go too bad overall, just had to muscle the parts together. Definitely need an alignment now But holy crapola, the thing handles beautifully now! Wish I had gotten coilovers years ago, I'd forgotten what a car without blown shocks feels like |
