That's nice! It would look even more sick with a 10-20! I was tempted to do this when I was at a church in Chicago, but they considered me a 'tourist' and wouldn't let me .

For some reason, washed out and bleak really fits what I want to shoot out here. Or maybe that's all there is. Hard to say.

The sun did some cool things today, made me grab my camera and inspired me a little in Lightroom. One of these days I'll let the lens do all the work for me, but I don't always get quite what I'm looking for off the frame. Nick and OBK, you guys take some brilliant shots- hell most folks posting in here do. Guess I have a different style.

Anyro, kit 18-55mm lens. Aperture Priority Mode at around f/8.0

Unaltered aside from a vignette and a little white balancing.

Then I started to fart around in Lightroom.




Some boys coming home.




And a pano I stitched up with some minor sat and vibrancy tweaks. Obviously the original would print at about 32"x12" but the mini works for a forum.

Those aren't bad, I love going to new places and shooting. I hate an absolute blast in Chicago. Might be going to Colorado here in a month or so, so that'll be fun.

I agree with what Jake said, it really is a different world(to some of us at least). A very damn expensive hobby as well..

I just bought my 4th lens this morning, decided to add a telephoto lens to my arsenal. Just a Nikon 55-200mm. Should be decent for concert shots, some portraits, and so forth. From what I can tell on Flickr, the VR is nice to have, and the lens seems pretty sharp. I'm probably done with lenses for now. Wide angle, 50mm prime, and this telephoto gives me plenty of room to play with for what I shoot, and I won't ever have to be held back because I don't have a lens for a certain situation.(Left out the gay 18-55mm since i never use it lolol).

But, keep it coming guys!
