Find below some photos of our STRIPED BOOTS. These can be ordered for any car and unless you specify otherwise, the stripes will be put wherever there are stitches on your stock boot, ie. a stripe is inserted between two adjacent panels, which are also re-sized to make sure the overall dimension is correct!

Stripes can be combined with stitching which can be CONTRASTING (these two are black perforated leather with light gray stripes and contrasting thread):

PIPING is a cool, sporty and elegant way to finish off your shift boots. Piping can be done for any car, and it replaces the threads with a special, well, pipe made by wrapping a thin plastic tube with leather. It looks amazing:

The armrest is really simple. Our cover has elastic around it's perimeter so it's a matter of simply pulling it over the stock armrest and aligning it so that it lies flat against the armrest... It's easier if you can remove the armrest from the car, but we managed to do it without removing it.

Ouch, sorry, my mistake, the 96-00 have the elastic, the shape of the armrest on your armrest is too complex for the elastic. The armrest cover needs to be glued on the armrest. You need to remove the actual armrest from the car and then glue the armrest on it.

oh btw Maciek, i will be taking pics of the 4panel shiftboot with my dslr when i have it installed with the strutking collar.

i used the 3m adhesive spray shown on the install guide and i have a few dried glue spots all over the alcantara. is there anyway to remove this?

yah its glued over the stock armrest. if you take off the fabric you'll be left with just the hard plastic.

Well, these were silver CF stripes, so if you order light gray stripes they will be much more dull than these.

It really depends on availability. If you can arrange access to a staple gun, that's always the simplest. Otherwise you're pretty much stuck with glue, just make sure to not get any on the visible part of the boot because once it's dried, it's pretty much there forever...

Good luck with the install! Sadly I don't know what a professional would take, $50 would be my guess.

hey, trying to install and the leather doesnt quite match up. i got the arm rest off and see how u guys cuz it almost to OEM length and stuff, but the stitching running up to the front goes from nice and straight to having a curve. it wont line up right. i mean, i can still get it on and it wont look bad at all, its just gonna annoy me... but i guess it is hand made and it is DAMN close. i mean, seriously, u guys even have the flaps exactly as Honda cut theirs. :tup:

im just trying to decide if i wanna staple, and maybe damage the nice leather, or risk gluing....

i dont wanna ruin such a work of art... lol

Here's a nice comparison between stock pieces and our work. The shift boot is stock - vinyl, plain and uninteresting. The ebrake boot is our black leather with quadruple white and red threads.

Notice how dull the shift boot appears next to that ebrake boot. It's a shame Ford didn't invest into more worthy items for the 05+ Mustang, which is the car in the picture below.

One of my very favorite color combinations and a good illustration of what I've been repeating whenever asked: small color differences don't really matter for the overall effect especially when the mis-matched parts of our boots are thread, stripes or piping - ie. very small areas. You tend to notice they match the interior nicely but only close scrutiny would reveal the color match is imperfect).

Yes, there is. It has been padded - and the owner has some good things to say about this idea!

The armrest cover for the Acura TL turned out substantially better than I could have imagined. Mine is the medium gray color with charcoal accent stripes and matching stitching. I got mine with the 6/8" padding, which is more than ample. The comfort of this vs. the stock padding is amazing. The leather is top quality as well. The color very nicely complements the interior of my car (Quartz color from Acura). I would highly recommend getting one of these covers as a fantastic upgrade of the interior of this car. I had mine installed on the factory plastic pan of the armrest by a professional car upholsterer for $40 - it is worth every penny. RedlineGoods.com is a great company with great products. Maciek made the whole process very easy and is more than willing to answer any questions. I have done my shifter boot and emergency brake boot on my MR-2 as well and have been very pleased with those products as well.

You need the lever, not the handle. The handle is a plastic piece pulled onto the lever. The lever is metal and in all cars the handle can be removed from the lever, sometimes it's as easy as an allen screw on the side, or a simple twist-on, on other cars it's slightly more involved, but it's always doable.

After all somehow they connected them in the factory, the plastic handle and the metal lever inside. What a man can do, another can undo, as the saying goes.

Got my shift boot in the mail and installed. The fit is pretty good (not quite perfect) but pretty damn good considering the whole design was changed from a 2 panel to a 4 panel boot. The only thing that I'm having a problem with is finding a stapler that is powerful enough to go through the thick plastic on the mounting bracket:dunno:
