Sub: Infinity Kappa Perfect 12.1
Amp: Kenwood KAC-7201
Review: Amazing sub. Hit hard and clear with this amp, but would benefit greatly from a ported enclosure and a little bit better amp (in SQ, now power output)

Sub: JL Audio W3v2 (In JL's High Output enclosure)
Amp:JL Audio 500/1
Review: These subs, although I have the 10" versions, sound like a pair of 12's in the JL box. They hit very hard and sound absolutly amazing with a 500/1.
This is a setup that is good on space for 2 subs, great on volume, and great on clarity. Only downside is the near-$1000 price tag for everything.

Sub: JL Audio 12w3d2
Amp: Sony Xplod 800W
Review: Sounded pretty good in my car.....I know the sub was being underpowered since the amp was pushing about 200w.....I have powered it before with a JL Audio 250/1 amp and it pounded so hard......

Amp: Rockford Fosgate 601S (600W RMS @ 4 ohms)
Subs: 2x Alpine Type R 10" (standard sealed box)

sounds great!! plenty loud!

previously: same amp with 1x 10" type R in a ported box. (sounded great, but I wanted a bit more) - eventually I will go back to 1 10 for space and because i'm sure I wont want 2 10s blaring forever.

alpine plt-5 its not very big and its only 500watts but i have it behind my seat and it sounds good its a very clear crisp bass, which is what i wanted. there is also some pretty interesting design in this thing, all the subs fire towards each other and there are like five or six of them in the box i have a polk component system up front and infinity kappa 6x9s in the rear deck with a pioneer head unit and it completed the system very nicely. it doesnt hit very hard though thats what alpine made the plv-7 for twice the size and wattage.

amp: kenwood mono 1000 watts rms

Had it in a ported box and it was way too loud, like outta control. Putting it in a sealed box this week actually, suppsedly these subs put out real clean sound in sealed boxes so I guess I'll find out.

Sub: 10" MTX Audio TC710 400W rms 1200W peak single voice coil
Sub Box: Bassworx ported enclosure
Amp: MTX Audio TC4002 2ch Amp. 400W rms bridged 1200W peak power

I picked up this setup used for $125. I have to say this is one of the nicest sounding systems I've had. The sub hits very clean and crisp sounding. With the amp and sub matched perfectly power wise it really makes tuning this system very easy. I would definitly recommend this set up.

Subs: 2 kicker cvx 15s dual 2ohm voice coils each wired down to 1ohm
Enclosure: 10 3/4 cu.ft. Custom built tuned @30hz. Rihno lined and braced for strength
Amps:2 hifonics 1608ds each running @1ohm

Review: hit extremely low considering the hifonics amps are rated at 1600@1ohm but were really only doing about half that. Very loud, sound quality was not the greatest but it got me some attention around town. All in all, if you have a small suv and want sloppy loud bass, do this setup

Subs: two 12' Alpine Type R's
Amp: Audiopipe 1500watts
Other: ported carpeted enclosure and running 4 gauge wire if i remember correctly, zero gain and bass boost.
Review: i cannot hear anymore lol. Weighs waaayyyy too much but i can pull up to a cadillac on 26's and out bump him haha. might selll the box and only keep one in the car, its plenty loud and breaking my car with its rattling. if i can offer advice: use the usb hookup for your ipod if you got one because it sounds much cleaner than auxillary

KenWood Head Unit
Two 10 Kicker Comp CVR's wire down to 2ohms
1200w Hifonics Brutus Series Amp
0 Gauge all the way around
Also a 2 Farad Capacitor( helps with my headlight dimming when the bass hits)
bigger battery with higher then normal CCA and RC
Right now using a terrible box but the sound quality and bass is still amazing, in the works with my teacher on creating a custom box just for my subs

This summer im upgrading to:
Alpine Touch screen/ Navigation Headunit
One 12 inch Alpine type R
Havent decided the amp yet, thinking ima use the same amp for a bit then upgrade so that way i could break in the sub

My trunk rattles like a bitch anyone have any tips? I put foam behind the license plate and that helped but it still rattles , my friend tuned my amp for me.
