DIY: Change trunk light

I just wanted to change my Trunk Light but leave the option to put it back up just in case I wanted to put the original back on.

You have to wedge something in between the frame set loose

Unplug the switch
If you are doing it at night have a back up source of light

You can't see it from here but I already hung the new light and ran wire through the frame

I cut pieces of a paper clip & wire taped it to the exposed wire from the new light

Why did I do this, I did not want to use the original light but use a different light that matched my car. If you think this is not cool, :queer:, or ricer, oh well.. to each his own. I just wanted to post something I thought might be useful to others.

nice glow....any pix of just the light in the trunk glowing? does it give better light output?

I was using my brother's Nikon D60 and I didn't know how to cut off the SB-600 flash =[ i'll take one with my phone =] brb

nice diy. i was thinking about doing this because my fkn box sits right under the light so i cant see anything but the top part of my box

the light isn't to much brighter, it actually is a slightly darker, but if it was a different color like blue, white, yellow, amber, etc. it would be brighter =]

Nice i was wanting to do this but with LED's i was looking for a way to wire the m at each end of the trunk so u can see everything!
